In this programme student from background of food and nutrition can study intensive approaches in field of nutrition like nutrients and their metabolism process, role of micro and macro nutrients and disorder and deficiency like iodine deficiency, anemia, dementia, folic acid requirement during maternal nutrition and disorders like ostocelamica, osteoporosis related severe deficiencies to it to have a good command over it. Moreover, they can learn using different food groups and their nutritional facts, that how to make a balance and therapeutic diet plans for chronic disorders like renal , hepatic, cancer, gut disorders, various allergies and intolerance like gluten, lactose and nuts and also diseases like AIDS, metabolic disorders by a detailed understanding of clinical and therapeutics diseases.
In addition to this, one can also learn the importance of super food, antioxidant and functional food and how to apply in planning diets for all age groups especially pediatrics and geriatrics ones and special conditions like pregnancy and lactation, not only this but the advance level diets like keto, Vegan, Plant based, Meditarrian and Interment fasting which are commonly use by highly experienced dieticians.
Lastly, we also focus on only comprehensive meal planning but also in teaching the nutrition assessment techniques such as 24 hour recall method, diet history, anthropometry measurements, biochemical and physical parameters to identify diseases which are using in various centre while delivering a customized diets like high protein, low carbohydrates, weight loss, detox diets.
Moreover, we also give emphasizes to teach our students how to do the handling and counseling various patients in clinics and hospital with considering various parameters with diet history like sleep, stress and exercise. By giving them assignments and by teaching them various cases on real life based examples of diabetes, thyroid, cancer and multiple disorders to make an expert and proficient in their field. It is a holistic and advance level programme to become a Certified Dietician and get training from highly experienced and qualified Professors team of the CNDS department of IGMPI.
Any graduation in Food & Nutrition / Home Science / Zoology / Life Science with 2 years of relevant experience or M.Sc. PG diploma in Food and Nutrition/Home Science / Public Health / Clinical Nutrition / Sports Nutrition / Ayurvedic Nutrition Food Technology / M.Pharma / MBBS / BDS / BHMS / BUMS / BAMS / MD / Pharm. Selection for the programme will be based on review of education credentials or work experience.
The registration dates for this certification run by the institute are updated timely on the website. Effective online learning tools incorporated into the curriculum make the certification lectures, videos and study material easily accessible. This gives huge window of self-regulated and self-paced performance to the participants. After registration is confirmed by the institute, the requisite study resources, assessment test papers will be dispatched to the participants. The study resources are considered sufficient for the preparation of the certification exam. However, the participants should feel free to go through other study resources as well. The professional certification and membership will be valid for two years and may be renewed by the participant by submitting membership renewal form and membership fee after two years. The Institute reserves the right to conduct an assessment before renewal.
Each participant has to take membership of Centre for Nutrition and Dietetics (CNDS) as a part of registration process. All the members will be entitled to receive comprehensive study resources for all the modules along with training guidance in online interactive mode. The membership certificate will also be issued to successful candidates along with their certificate of the professional certification.
