Academy of Medical Coders India, IGMPI is offering an opportunity to get certified and become a Certified Medical Coding Professional. This certification is meant for aspiring professionals from the healthcare industry, existing medical coders or with any life science educational background students who want to upgrade their qualification. The certification structure appropriately covers all essential of medical coding along with live examples, training exercises, case studies and brief medical terminology. While being honest, organized, dependable and detail oriented are the personal traits which might help an individual to be a trustworthy medical coder, Knowledge of the medical terminology, good grip over the medical coding rule books, appropriate training about the industry and skills to use varied medical coding software is much needed to excel in this industry.

Eligibility

Any Graduate/Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Pharmacy, Healthcare, Medicine, Dentistry, Biology, Zoology, Chemistry, Microbiology or even Biochemistry are eligible to apply for this programme.

Assessment & Certification

All the participants are expected to appear for online assessment. After successfully qualifying the examination, the participants will be awarded the professional ceritification of Certified Medical Coding Professional (CMCP) by Academy of Medical Coders India,IGMPI. All the above mentioned elaborate study resources, Assessment test papers and case studies would be provided by the Institute from time to time. Details get updated on the webpage as well. The certification will be awarded after the required levels of knowledge, skills, professionalism and attitude are assessed through the IGMPI assessment process.

The professional certification and membership will be valid for two years and may be renewed by the participant by submitting membership renewal form and membership fee after two years. The Institute reserves the right to conduct an assessment before renewal.

Membership

Each participant has to take membership of Academy of Medical Coders India, IGMPI as a part of registration process. All the members will be entitled to receive comprehensive study resources for all the modules along with training guidance in online interactive mode. The membership certificate will also be issued to successful candidates along with their certificate of the professional certification.
