Inspired Go Foods Recalls Products in Canada Over Listeria Risk

Several ready-to-eat products from the Inspired Go brand have been recalled in Canada after potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The affected items include the Bento Noodle Bowl, Greek Mezze Salad, Dill Chickpea Salad, Super Solstice Salad and the Pickle Platter Snack Pack. These products were sold online and distributed in the province of Alberta. The recall was initiated by the company as a precautionary measure.

Listeria-contaminated food may not show visible signs of spoilage, yet it can cause severe and sometimes fatal illness. People who have consumed the recalled products are advised to watch for symptoms, as listeriosis can take up to 70 days to appear. Common signs include nausea, vomiting, fever, muscle pain, headaches and neck stiffness.

Certain groups face higher risks, including pregnant women, older adults, young children and individuals with weakened immune systems. In pregnancy, infection may cause serious complications such as premature birth or stillbirth.
