The Centre for Sustainable Cybersecurity Technology (CSCT) has been established under the aegis of the Institute of Good Manufacturing Practices India (IGMPI). Institute is registered as a non-profit society recognised by the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, Ministry of Commerce & Industry. It is also an accredited Vocational Institution under the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. IGMPI is committed to building a digitally safe and resilient environment, empowering professionals and organisations to meet the challenges of cybersecurity in today’s rapidly advancing technological landscape.
With the exponential growth of digital infrastructure, online services, and interconnected industrial systems, the need to protect critical information, networks, and personal data has become a top priority. The frequency and sophistication of cyberattacks — from ransomware and phishing to state-sponsored threats — highlight the urgency of building robust cyber defences. CSCS is working hand in hand with these technological advances, positioning itself as a leading training and online learning platform provider in the areas of cybersecurity management, digital forensics, regulatory compliance, data protection, cyber law, and sustainable security practices.
India faces a severe shortage of trained cybersecurity professionals, with demand far exceeding supply. Experts estimate the country needs over a million specialists, but only a fraction is available today. This gap underscores the urgent need for skilled professionals who can safeguard industries, government systems, and the digital economy.
To address this challenge, CSCS has developed specialised programmes for industry professionals, IT graduates, and cyber engineers, equipping them with the expertise to secure organisations while advancing their careers. By upskilling the workforce and preparing future leaders, CSCS is helping to build a sustainable, secure, and globally competitive digital ecosystem.
In an era of global digital competition, industries must ensure that their cybersecurity standards are at par with global benchmarks. While digitalisation brings efficiency, it also introduces vulnerabilities that can lead to severe consequences: theft of intellectual property, disruption of operations, financial losses, and reputational damage. A single cyber incident can undermine years of trust and progress.
Thus, cybersecurity is not only a technical function but also a shared responsibility across all stakeholders — management, employees, regulators, and customers. Protecting organisational assets, intellectual property, and customer data is a priority that directly influences the sustainability and growth of any organisation.
Production, innovation, and digital development should not be compromised by the cost of poor cyber risk management. Therefore, it is vital to increase awareness about cyber laws, digital ethics, and secure practices that prevent breaches and foster resilience.
