Professional Certification in Road Vehicles – Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) Communication Interface System

The Professional Certification in Road Vehicles – Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) Communication Interface System is a 6-month specialized training programme designed to equip participants with the expertise and applied knowledge required to understand, and implement V2G systems. The programme provides an in-depth understanding of EV technologies, charging infrastructure, communication protocols, grid integration, regulatory frameworks, and emerging innovations.

Participants will explore ISO 15118, OCPP standards, cybersecurity, bidirectional charging systems, and case studies, enabling them to develop competencies in building smart, sustainable, and grid-interactive mobility ecosystems. This certification is ideal for engineers, EV professionals, policymakers, researchers, and entrepreneurs aiming to contribute to the growing EV and smart grid sector.

Eligibility

Graduates in any discipline are eligible for our Post Graduate Diploma, Executive Diploma and Professional Certification Programmes.

Graduates in Engineering, Science, Computer Science, or allied disciplines, as well as working professionals in EV, automotive, IT, and energy sectors, are eligible. Professionals with relevant experience in power systems, mobility, or sustainability are encouraged to apply.

Programme Duration

The minimum duration to complete the Professional Certification programme is 6 months and maximum is 12 months.

Programme Mode

Examination and Certification

IGMPI follows a credit-based evaluation system. Each module carries 4 credits. To successfully complete the programme, participants must:

  • Submit assessment assignments after each module
  • Appear for an online proctored exam at the end of the programme

After successful completion, participants will be awarded the Professional Certification in Road Vehicles – Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) Communication Interface System by the Centre for Environmental Health and Safety, IGMPI.
