Climate change is the most defining driver of development changes in society today. To be more precise, it is a strong reminder how unprepared we are as a civilization to develop preventive measures and to mitigate the aftermath of a climate related disaster. To this end, IGMPI is training professionals with a graduate degree to become leaders in the field of climate change. Be it the wildfires in California or floods in Himachal Pradesh, climate change is impacting the day-to-day happenings for every section of society.
The solutions to climate change from the innovation sector are four-fold –
The startup sector is currently booming with cleantech innovations that possess tremendous disruptive potential. The unfortunate result is that there does not exist the skilled personal to transition early to late TRLs of these deeptech institutions to early BRLs. To fill this widening gap – this is the agenda of this post graduate/ executive diploma in climate change. The classes at IGMPI are a mix of lectures, interactive case studies and group discussions.

Any graduation/B.Tech/B.Sc in Microbiology/Life Sciences// BE/ B. Pharma/ or any other discipline. Diploma holders are eligible for our Executive Diploma, Industry Certificate and Certificate Programmes.
The candidate is expected to complete the programme in a minimum of 6 months (Executive Diploma), maximum of 1 year (PG Diploma).

Effective Online learning tools incorporated into the design of the webpage make the programme lectures, online live classes, and study material easily accessible. This gives a huge window of self-paced and self-regulated performance to the participants.
A comprehensive study material for all the modules in hard copies ensuring the needs of the audience. The accompanying training material is appropriately aligned with the current Industry’s expectations.
IGMPI follows a credit system based on all learning activities involved in studying the certificate programs. Each of your modules is equal to 4 credits. To successfully complete the programme, you will have to earn all the credits assigned to the program.
All the participants are obliged to timely submit completed assessment assignments (during the programme, usually after every module) and appear for an online proctored exam at the end of the programme. After successful completion, the participants will be awarded a Post Graduate Diploma/ Executive Diploma in Climate Change by IGMPI. For all the above mentioned modules elaborate programme material, self-assessment assignments and project work details would be provided by the Institute from time to time. Besides, it has a robust placement cell of senior level Human Resources professionals and Talent Acquisition experts which maintains close links with business and industry. In this course, participants will be able to learn and understand and evaluate essential climate change concepts and the implications for businesses and major stakeholders, understanding materiality issues across organizations and sectors, determining internal and external stakeholders’ risks and opportunities, examining need for life cycle and climate change monitoring and reporting, assessing disclosure quality , and actual climate change mitigation performance. Climate change courses offer a plethora of opportunities. In India, around 20 % of employees work in the environment sector, which is expected to double by 2030. According to the reports, 24 million green jobs will be available around the world by 2030. After pursuing these courses, the candidate can work in various fields, especially impact assessment for the automobile industry, food processing unit, pollution control board, environmental consultancy firms and waste management industry.
