Costco recalls waffles due to plastic film

Costco has issued a recall for Kodiak brand waffles due to contamination with plastic film. The recall, initiated by Kodiak Cakes LLC, affects waffles with an expiration date of January 10, 2026, raising concerns about consumers possibly having them at home due to their long shelf life.

The affected Kodiak Power Waffles Buttermilk & Vanilla, sold in 40-count boxes, were shipped recently, as of August 25, and distributed across 13 states: Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, Nebraska, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

Consumers can identify the recalled waffles by the UPC number 705599019203 and lot code 24193-WL4. No injuries have been reported related to the recall. Unused portions can be returned to Costco for a full refund.
