Eppendorf has launched the CellXpert CS220, the only CO2 incubator shaker on the market featuring integrated 180°C sterilization. This innovative device adheres to established contamination protection standards for CO2 incubator-based cell cultivation.

Commonly used for expressing complex recombinant proteins, producing viral vectors, and developing bioreactor starter cultures, shake flask cultures are at risk of contamination, especially from viruses and Mycoplasma, which can impact project timelines and budgets.
