Salm Partners, LLC, in Denmark, WI, recalled about 35,430 pounds of Johnsonville turkey kielbasa sausage due to possible contamination with rubber pieces, per the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (FSIS) Food Safety and Inspection Service.
The issue arose after consumer complaints of rubber pieces in the ready-to-eat turkey kielbasa. FSIS is concerned some products may be in consumers’ refrigerators.
The sausages were produced between Oct. 30-31, 2023, and distributed nationwide.
Recalled products include 12-oz. vacuum-packed packages of "Johnsonville POLISH KIELBASA TURKEY" sausage with "05/17/24" and "05/18/24" best-by dates, bearing establishment number "P-32009."
No adverse reactions have been reported. Consumers are urged not to consume the products and to discard them or return them to the store of purchase.
