Hy-Vee, Inc., based in West Des Moines, IA, is recalling Hy-Vee Cream Cheese Spread and Cookies & Cream Mix due to potential Salmonella contamination. These products, sourced from various Midwest third-party facilities, carry Hy-Vee's private label and bulk packaging. The company was alerted by the manufacturers about the issue.
The affected items were distributed to Hy-Vee, Hy-Vee Drugstore, and Dollar Fresh Market outlets, along with Hy-Vee Fast and Fresh convenience stores across eight states.
Recalled items include Hy-Vee Whipped Cream Cheese Spread (8 oz., Best By: 8/7/2024; 8/14/2024), Hy-Vee Cream Cheese Spread (12 oz., Best By: 10/1/2024), and Hy-Vee Cookies & Cream Mix in 4 oz. and 16 oz. sizes (Best By: 12/1/2024; 12/5/2024).
No adverse reactions have been reported thus far. Customers should dispose of the products or return them to Hy-Vee stores for a full refund.
