MarinHealth Medical Center introduces cardiac MRI tool

MarinHealth Medical Center has expanded its cardiac care services by launching cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technology through the Haynes Cardiovascular Institute. This noninvasive diagnostic tool provides high-resolution images of the heart, considered the gold standard for cardiac imaging. It offers detailed insights into the heart's structure, function, and tissue composition, aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of various heart conditions such as myocarditis, heart failure, cardiomyopathies, and more. Additionally, the MRI tool facilitates monitoring patient progress and therapy response over time. This addition complements existing services at Haynes, including cardiac computed tomography angiography (CCTA), echocardiography, electrocardiography (EKG), and myocardial perfusion imaging. Through generous donations, Haynes raised $220,000 of the $400,000 needed to acquire the cardiac MRI technology.
