DoH & MSD expand long-standing partnership to advance clinical research on lung cancer

During the BIO International Convention 2024 in San Diego, USA, The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MSD, a leading biopharmaceutical company, to accelerate cancer research, with a priority on lung cancer clinical trials in Abu Dhabi.

Leveraging Abu Dhabi's advanced life sciences infrastructure, DoH and MSD aim to provide innovative cancer therapies, elevating clinical research standards in the Emirate. This collaboration strengthens Abu Dhabi's position in precision medicine.

DoH emphasizes its commitment to partnering with MSD GCC to address healthcare challenges through innovation. As part of this initiative, MSD will conduct a study on a new investigational anti-cancer drug at Burjeel Hospital and Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. This partnership reinforces Abu Dhabi's status as a premier healthcare and life sciences destination, driving research and improving healthcare outcomes.
