Company recalls micro dosing candy following FDA records almost two dozen hospitalizations

Prophet Premium Blends of Santa Ana, CA, is recalling Diamond Shruumz Infused Cones, Chocolate Bars, and Gummies (Micro- and Mega/Extreme-Dose) due to the presence of muscimol, a mushroom chemical. Initially resistant, the company agreed to the recall after FDA negotiations. Twenty-three people were hospitalized due to adverse reactions, which included seizures, agitation, muscle contractions, unconsciousness, confusion, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, irregular heart rates, and blood pressure issues.

The recall affects all lots, best-by dates, and flavors of these products, distributed nationwide through retail stores and mail orders. At least 39 severe reactions were reported, with 23 hospitalizations. The company's product analysis revealed higher-than-average muscimol levels, prompting the recall.

Retailers and wholesalers should stop distribution, quarantine the product, and contact sales representatives for returns and refunds.
