Hershey’s, Friendly’s and more brands of ice cream products recalled due to potential Listeria contamination

Totally Cool, Inc., headquartered in Owings Mills, MD, has initiated a recall of various ice cream products due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The recall affects 13 brands, including Friendly’s, Abilyn’s Frozen Bakery, Hershey’s Ice Cream, Yelloh!, Jeni’s, Cumberland Farms, The Frozen Farmer,  AMAFruits, Taharka, Marco, ChipWich, Dolcezza Gelato, and LaSalle.

The company has halted production and distribution of the implicated products following FDA testing that detected Listeria monocytogenes. These products were distributed nationwide through retail stores and direct delivery.

Individuals who have consumed any of the recalled products and experience symptoms of Listeria infection should seek medical attention and inform healthcare providers of potential exposure to Listeria.

Recalled products include various ice cream cakes, cones, sandwiches, and pints across the affected brands. Consumers in possession of recalled items are advised to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.

As of the recall announcement, no illnesses linked to these products have been reported.
