Illnesses triggered nationwide recall of Silk and Great Value brand plant-based beverages in Canada

Danone Canada is recalling various Silk and Great Value plant-based refrigerated beverages due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination. This recall was triggered by a Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) investigation into a foodborne illness outbreak, with reported illnesses linked to these products. The CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation, which may result in further recalls. The affected products were distributed nationwide in Canada.

• Silk Almond & Coconut Unsweetened (1.89 L)
• Silk Almond (Original, Dark Chocolate, Unsweetened, Unsweetened Vanilla, Vanilla, 1.89 L)
• Silk Coconut (Original, Unsweetened, 1.89 L)
• Silk Oat (Original, Vanilla, Dark Chocolate, Unsweetened, Unsweetened Vanilla, 1.75 L)
• Silk Almond & Cashew Unsweetened (Vanilla, 1.75 L)

All products have Best Before dates up to and including 24 OC 04 and product code 7825. These recalled items should not be consumed, sold, served, or distributed.
