The poor healthcare delivery systems particularly affect rural communities, leaving marginalized populations underserved. Ensuring access to essential healthcare services for these groups is vital, with robust delivery systems needed to reach remote areas.
Rural communities are the 'last mile' in healthcare delivery, where challenges like limited infrastructure and inadequate facilities are most pronounced. Although 76.1% of Indian children are fully immunized, many in rural areas still miss out on life-saving vaccines.
India's vast geography and inadequate infrastructure pose significant challenges to healthcare delivery. To address these, India is enhancing cold chain infrastructure and fostering collaborations. Innovations like Phloton, a portable cooling device for vaccines, are helping overcome these barriers.
