HeartFlow exhibits plaque analysis platform ‘HeartFlow Plaque Analysis’ to analyse patient risk in suspected coronary artery disease

HeartFlow, a leader in non-invasive AI heart care, has launched an advanced version of HeartFlow Plaque Analysis featuring an interactive experience. This updated tool is uniquely integrated with FFRCT (when performed), enhancing clinical decision-making and supporting personalized treatment plans.

The upgraded HeartFlow Plaque Analysis utilizes proprietary algorithms to analyze coronary CT angiogram (CCTA) scans, generating a detailed 3D model to measure and characterize plaque volume in coronary arteries. This assists in evaluating coronary artery disease risk. The technology was showcased at the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT) Annual Scientific Meeting in Washington, DC.

The new platform includes 3D interactive features, integrating plaque quantification with lesion-specific FFRCT values. It offers a 3D model and detailed plaque analysis by type (calcified, non-calcified, low attenuation) and provides cross-sectional, color-coded images. Published data indicates that HeartFlow Plaque Analysis has a 95% agreement with the gold standard IVUS for plaque volume measurement, and it often leads to more tailored medical management.
