St. Jerome cheese recalled following testing reveals Listeria

Kenny’s Farmhouse Cheese of Austin, KY, is recalling St. Jerome cheese due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The recall follows routine testing by the Kentucky Department of Public Health, which detected Listeria in batch 231129.

The affected cheese was sold through wholesale customers, retail stores, and Kenny’s Farmhouse Cheese’s. Listeria contamination may not alter the appearance or smell of the cheese but can lead to serious infections. Anyone who has consumed the recalled product and experiences symptoms should seek medical attention and inform their doctor about potential Listeria exposure.

  - Available in 8-ounce wedges and 15-pound wheels

  - Packaged in clear plastic with a logo sticker and white label displaying the lot number

No illnesses have been reported. Production has been halted as investigations continue. Consumers should return the product for a refund or dispose of it.
