Undeclared Cashews trigger Food recall of Full Circle Market Coconut-milk Chocolate Almond Crunch non-dairy frozen dessert

G.S. Gelato & Desserts Inc. is recalling a specific batch of Full Circle Market Coconut-milk Chocolate Almond Crunch non-dairy frozen dessert, sold in 1 pint (16 fl. oz.) paper cartons. The affected lot is 041624L2 with a best before date of 10/15/2025 and UPC 0 36800 46964 8. The recall is due to the product containing undeclared cashew, while the packaging lists it as ‘Nature’s Promise’ Cashew-milk Chocolate Almond Crunch non-dairy frozen dessert. The carton incorrectly shows ‘Full Circle Market’ Coconut-milk Chocolate Almond Crunch. This discrepancy could cause severe allergic reactions in individuals with a cashew allergy.

The product was distributed to Full Circle Market locations in Georgia, Massachusetts, and New York, and was sold in retail stores across New York, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, between April 18 and July 11, 2024. The issue was discovered when a retail store reported the mismatch, leading to an investigation that revealed cashew-milk pints were mistakenly packed into Full Circle Market Coconut-milk cartons.
