Introducing Turkish hazelnuts in India: To delight health-conscious consumers

Turkish Hazelnuts, celebrated as the ‘miracle nut,’ have been launched in India through a four-year campaign by the Turkish Hazelnut Exporters Associations, with the launch event at the Turkish Embassy in New Delhi, in collaboration with the Nuts and Dry Fruits Council of India (NDFCI).

This initiative is a significant milestone for Turkish Hazelnuts and the Indian market, aiming to promote them as a nutritious and versatile ingredient, enhancing culinary experiences in India.

Türkiye, producing 65% of the world’s hazelnuts, uses traditional methods to preserve the nuts' flavor and nutritional value. The country’s processing facilities meet strict international food safety standards.

The entry of Turkish hazelnuts into India strengthens Türkiye-India relations and offers new opportunities in the food sector. Known for their sweet flavor and robust nutritional profile, these hazelnuts are a healthy, cholesterol-free addition to a balanced diet, providing a nutritious alternative to traditional snacks.
