Martinelli’s Gold Medal Apple Juice recalled over elevated arsenic levels

S Martinelli & Company, located in Watsonville, CA, is issuing a recall for approximately 25,000 cases of Martinelli’s Gold Medal Apple Juice due to elevated levels of inorganic arsenic.

As per the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) online records, the recall began on April 16, 2024, and remains ongoing.

Short-term exposure to high levels of inorganic arsenic can cause symptoms like nausea, vomiting, bruising, and sensations of numbness or burning in the extremities.

The recalled products were distributed across numerous states in the U.S., including Alaska, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin. Additionally, distribution extended to Panama.
