Healthcare professionals play a crucial role in disseminating this knowledge, ensuring accurate diagnosis and treatment. Policy-makers must grasp the disease burden and promote cost-effective interventions, especially in regions lacking essential asthma care resources like inhalers. The Global Alliance against Chronic Respiratory Diseases (GARD) and the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) advocate for asthma education and provide resources for healthcare professionals and patients. Accessible through the WHO Knowledge Action Portal, these initiatives aim to alleviate the global burden of asthma and improve patient outcomes.
