Irvington Seafood of Irvington, AL, recalled its 1-pound packages of "Crabmeat: Lump, Jumbo, Finger, and Claw meat" due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination. Positive test results from EMSL Analytical Inc. on May 17, 2024, prompted the recall. The affected crabmeat, processed on May 12, 2024 (Batch #133), showed Listeria presence in 12 Claw meat and 2 Finger samples out of 94 taken on May 13, 2024.
Distributed to Alabama and Mississippi, the product may be found in retail seafood markets or restaurants.
Recalled product:

Packaged in 1-pound tubs with license number AL 111-C and the company name "Irvington Seafood," no illnesses have been reported. Production is halted as the FDA and the company investigate. Consumers should return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund.
