Supplement recall expanded due to toxic yellow oleander in products

World Green Nutrition, Inc. is expanding their April 3, 2024 recall to include more lot numbers of Green Elv Nutrition brand Elv Control Herbal Supplement (90 capsules) and Elv Alipotec brand Mexican Tejocote Root Supplement Pieces (0.3 oz/7g) due to yellow oleander contamination. Yellow oleander is a toxic plant that can cause severe neurological, gastrointestinal, and cardiovascular issues, potentially fatal. Symptoms include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, diarrhea, abdominal pain, heart changes, and arrhythmia.

These products were meant to be sold through authorized distributors but may have been distributed via e-commerce platforms and physical stores. The ELV Control Herbal Supplement is in a white container with a blue lid, while the Mexican Tejocote Root Supplement Pieces are in a white container with a green lid.

No illnesses have been reported, but the FDA's findings prompted the recall. Consumers should stop using these products and can return them for an exchange or dispose of them.
