Carestream introduces new imaging software and system upgrades

Carestream Health has upgraded its ImageView Software and DRX-Evolution Plus System to enhance technologist efficiency and patient workflow.

The ImageView Software version 2.1 introduces Smart Room Options like virtual long-length imaging, virtual collimation, patient-position monitoring, and patient picture overlay with align assist. These tools help radiographers achieve precise positioning for consistent image capture, speeding up diagnoses and treatment planning.

Additionally, the software now includes detector alignment tools to assess detector position in non-bucky environments, boosting radiographer confidence and reducing grid cutoff risks.

The DRX-Evolution Plus System has been updated with these ImageView 2.1 features, including new grid frames for the wall stand, bi-directional audio assist, AEC edge location on the console screen, and patient picture options.

These improvements are part of Carestream’s advanced imaging solutions portfolio, which includes pneumothorax and tube line visualization, low-dose dual-energy-based bone suppression, digital tomosynthesis, and AI-driven smart noise cancellation.
