Nestle Canada Inc. is recalling certain Gerber brand baby cereal due to Cronobacter contamination. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) detected this contamination in Oat Banana & Mango Baby Cereal, prompting the recall.
The affected cereal was distributed online and across Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Ontario, Quebec, and Saskatchewan, with possible distribution in other provinces and territories. The recalled cereal is packaged in 227-gram containers with UPC 0 65000 13361 5 and code 2025 MA 30 3334007809. No product photos were included in the recall notice.
No illnesses have been reported as of the notice. Consumers should check their homes for the recalled product and discontinue use immediately, as Cronobacter infections can be severe. The CFIA is investigating and ensuring that the recalled products are removed from the market.
