Gleneagles Hospital Launches ‘Mask Up Mumbai’ to Boost Respiratory Health Awareness

Gleneagles Hospital, Mumbai, has launched the ‘Mask Up Mumbai’ campaign at Phoenix Marketcity, featuring large mask sculptures to highlight the importance of lung care and clean air in the city’s urban setting.

With increasing environmental and indoor pollution, respiratory issues like asthma are becoming chronic concerns in Mumbai. Dr. Sameer Garde, Pulmonology Director at Gleneagles, stressed the need for awareness about mask use in high-risk areas and timely medical consultation.

The campaign aims to extend health education beyond clinics by using public art as a striking reminder to protect lungs and prioritize prevention. Dr. Bipin Chevale, CEO of Gleneagles Hospital, said the initiative fosters community engagement to encourage healthier habits.

Mayank Lalpuria from The Phoenix Mills Limited welcomed the effort, highlighting how public spaces can inspire positive health behaviors.
