People are no more reluctant in spending huge sums of money to look good. Cosmetology is of two kinds, general cosmetology. It is designed for those who want to develop skills and upgrade their knowledge in aesthetics and cosmetology. The academic goal of this programme in Cosmetology by Centre for Health Management and Research (CHMR), IGMPI is to produce competent Clinicians to have a vast exposure to new advancement in the field of Cosmetology. According to the Beauty & Wellness Industry it estimates, aggregate annual expenditure on the skin and beauty care industry in India is currently $950 million (Rs.5,770 crore per year) and increasing at a CAGR (compounded annual growth rate) of 15-20 percent, hence a growing industry. The programme equips students with the knowledge and expertise required to be experts in cosmetology treatments.

Eligibility

Graduate in Medical Graduate (MBBS), BDS, BHMS, BAMS,BUMS.

Programme Duration

The duration to complete this programme is 1 year (Post Graduate Diploma), 6 months (Professional Diploma).

Examination & Certification

Centre for Health Management and Research (CHMR), IGMPI follows a credit system based on all learning activities involved in studying for all Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Diploma and Certificate Programmes. Each of your modules is equal to 4 credits. To successfully complete the programme, you will have to earn all the credits assigned to your programme.

All the participants are obliged to timely submit completed assessment assignments (during the programme, usually after every module) and appear for an online exam at the end of the programme.

After successful completion, the participants will receive a certificate of Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Diploma in Clinical Cosmetology certified by Centre for Health Management and Research (CHMR), IGMPI. For all the above-mentioned modules, elaborate programme material, self-assessment assignments and project work details would be provided by the Institute from time to time.
