Professional Certification in Energy Audit and Compliance Management (PCEACM)

The Professional Certification in Energy Audit and Compliance Management is a 6 months specialized training program designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills required for energy auditing, efficiency assessment, and conservation strategies across various sectors. This course covers energy management principles, auditing techniques, performance analysis, and regulatory frameworks, ensuring a deep understanding of energy consumption patterns and optimization methods. Module 1: Introduction to Energy Auditing: Fundamentals of energy auditing, its importance, and regulatory framework in India.

Module 2: ISO 50001: Energy Management Systems (EnMS): Energy Policy, Energy Review, Significant Energy Uses (SEUs), Energy Baseline (EnB), Energy Performance Indicators (EnPIs), Objectives, Targets, and Action Plans, Monitoring and Measurement, Internal Audits, Management Review, Continual Improvement (PDCA Cycle).

Module 3: ISO 50002: Energy Audits: Introduction to ISO 50002,Principles of Energy Auditing, Objectives of Energy Audits, Energy Audit Process Overview,  Audit Planning and Preparation, Preliminary Energy Review, Data Collection and Measurement, Energy Performance Analysis,  Identification of Energy Performance Improvement Opportunities (EPIOs), Technical Evaluation of Opportunities,  Financial Analysis, Risk Assessment and Feasibility Evaluation, Energy Audit Report, Implementation of Recommendations,  Measurement and Verification (M&V), Integration with ISO 50001,  Competence Requirements for Energy Auditors, Benefits and Outcomes of ISO 50002 Energy Audits, Case Studies and Best Practices, Challenges and Limitations, Future Trends in Energy Auditing.

Module 4: ISO 50015: Measurement and Verification (M&V) of Energy Performance: Introduction to ISO 50015, Fundamentals of Measurement and Verification, Scope and Application of ISO 50015, Energy Baseline Development, Energy Performance Indicators (EnPIs), Data Collection and Measurement Systems, Determination of Energy Performance Improvement, Verification Process, Integration with ISO 50001, Benefits of ISO 50015 Implementation, Challenges and Best Practices, Case Studies, Future Trends in Measurement and Verification.

Module 5: Regulatory Framework and Compliance Requirements: Energy Conservation Act, Perform Achieve and Trade (PAT) scheme, and compliance obligations for energy efficiency.

Module 6: Industry Demand and Career Prospects: Growing demand for energy auditors, Key industries, job roles, and career opportunities.

Module 7: Challenges and Future Trends in Energy Auditing: Key challenges, technological advancements, and emerging trends in energy management.

Module 8: Case Studies and Practical Applications: Real-world examples of successful energy audits, cost-saving measures, and best practices.

Eligibility

Graduates in any discipline are eligible for our Post Graduate Diploma, Executive Diploma and Professional Certifications Programmes. 10+2 pass-outs are eligible for our Under Graduate Diploma and Diploma holders of two to three years course duration are also eligible for the PG Diploma.

Programme Duration

The minimum duration to complete the Professional Certification programme is 6 months and maximum is 12 months.

Programme Deliverables

A comprehensive study material for all the modules in hard copies ensuring the needs of the audience. The accompanying training material is appropriately aligned with the current Industry’s expectations.

• Interactive or online live sessions on all key areas of the programme giving all flexibility to the participants
• Online Live Classes/Part-time for all the modules will be conducted on the weekends. Moreover, a doubt clearing session will also be scheduled before the examination
• All the efforts are made by IGMPI faculty members to make the entire programme modules easily understandable
• Assessment and evaluation for all the programme modules in order to enhance the levels of competencies and skills of the participants leading towards the objective of application in the job
• At the end of each programme modules, the trainers shall obtain feedback from the participants using specially designed questionnaires
• All learning and training delivery initiatives shall be conducted in English

Examination and Certification

All the participants are obliged to timely submit completed assessment assignments (during the programme, usually after every module) and appear for an online proctored exam at the end of the programme. After successful completion, the participants will be Professional Certification in Energy Audit and Compliance Management by Centre for Environmental Health and Safety, IGMPI. For all the above-mentioned modules elaborate programme material, self-assessment assignments and project work details would be provided by the Institute from time to time. Discipline in Classes and Examination

Every student is required to observe a disciplined behaviour during her/his classes, assessments & examinations and to follow instructions from the Professors. Any act of indiscipline may result into discredit & it will be mentioned in her/his academic report.
