Different dosage forms require different pharmaceutical technologies and usually present different technical challenges for formulation development. The objective of this programme is to provide fundamentals of formulation studies and how the physiochemical, physiomechanical and biopharmaceutical properties effect the dosage development.
This programme provides professionals with the skills and knowledge to allow them to participate effectively in the creation and growth of high impact pharmaceutical business ventures. Graduate in any discipline is eligible for our Post Graduate Diploma and Certificate Programmes. For Executive Diploma programmes and Professional Certifications, you need to have at least 1 year of work experience.
The duration to complete this programme is 1 year (Post Graduate Diploma), 6 months (Executive Diploma).

A comprehensive study material for all the modules in hard copies ensuring the needs of the audience. The accompanying training material is appropriately aligned with the current Industry’s expectations.
IGMPI follows a credit system based on all learning activities involved in studying for all PG Diploma, Executive Diploma and Certificate Programmes. Each of your modules is equal to 4 credits. To successfully complete the programme, you will have to earn all the credits assigned to your programme.
All the participants are expected to appear for an online exam and are also obliged to submit assignments after each module. After successful completion, the participants will be awarded Post Graduate Diploma/Executive Diploma in Pharmaceutical Formulation and Enterprenuership by Faculty of Drug Discovery and Development, IGMPI. For all the above mentioned modules elaborate Programme material, self-assessment assignments and project work details would be provided by the Institute from time to time. Formulation chemists are needed not only in the innovator and generic pharmaceutical industries products, but also for all sorts of chemical products including pesticides and insecticides, paints and coatings, foods, adhesives, cosmetics, fragrances, and many household products.
Formulation professionals work in a wide variety of industries. They may divide their time testing new formulations in the lab, writing reports, and helping to set up new production facilities in a pilot plant. After completion of the Programme professionals will have the necessary skills to start-up new businesses in pharmaceutical formulation or join the pharmaceutical industry's formulation development team.
