Workshop on: Role of Insulin & Technology in Diabetes Management

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic condition marked by high blood glucose levels due to either inadequate insulin production or poor insulin sensitivity. Insulin therapy has been a cornerstone of diabetes management, particularly for individuals with Type 1 diabetes and advanced Type 2 diabetes. With the evolution of medical technology, insulin delivery systems, continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), and data-driven apps have significantly enhanced glycemic control and patient quality of life.

This workshop aims to provide an in-depth understanding of insulin’s role in managing diabetes, and how modern technologies are transforming diabetic care through precision, personalization, and improved patient adherence.

Objective:

To educate healthcare professionals, diabetes educators, and caregivers on the vital role of insulin therapy and the advancements in diabetes-related technologies. The workshop will focus on bridging clinical knowledge with practical tools for optimized, patient-centered diabetes care.

Advantages of Certification:

  • Enhances professional competence in modern diabetes care
  • Recognized by hospitals, diabetes centres, and public health programs
  • Enables professionals to confidently advise on insulin dosing, device usage, and safety
  • Empowers healthcare providers to integrate data-driven decision-making into patient care
