Workshop on: Dialysis and Kidney Transplant Diet

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a progressive condition that may require dialysis or kidney transplantation as it advances. Nutrition therapy plays a crucial role in both dialysis and post-transplant management. Diet can influence fluid balance, electrolyte control, immunity, wound healing, and long-term kidney function.

This workshop is designed to provide practical and scientific guidance on diet planning for patients undergoing hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and those recovering from kidney transplantation. The goal is to empower dietitians, healthcare professionals, and caregivers with knowledge to ensure nutritional adequacy and disease-specific dietary management.

Objective:

To offer comprehensive training on renal dietetics focusing on pre-dialysis, dialysis, and post-transplant nutrition care with the aim of improving clinical outcomes, patient quality of life, and healthcare compliance.

Advantages of Certification:

  • Recognized by hospitals and nephrologists for renal dietitian roles
  • Enhances confidence and credibility in renal counseling and therapeutic meal planning
  • Supports interdisciplinary collaboration with nephrologists and transplant surgeons
  • Equips participants to handle case-specific challenges in fluid, electrolyte, and protein balance
