Certificate in Dialysis and Kidney Transplant Diet

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a progressive condition that may require dialysis or kidney transplantation as it advances. Nutrition therapy plays a crucial role in both dialysis and post-transplant management. Diet can influence fluid balance, electrolyte control, immunity, wound healing, and long-term kidney function.

Certificate in Dialysis and Kidney Transplant Diet has been developed by the Centre for Nutrition and Dietetics Studies at IGMPI to offer comprehensive training on renal dietetics focusing on pre-dialysis, dialysis, and post-transplant nutrition care with the aim of improving clinical outcomes, patient quality of life, and healthcare compliance.

This certificate programme is designed to provide practical and scientific guidance on diet planning for patients undergoing hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and those recovering from kidney transplantation. The goal is to empower dietitians, healthcare professionals, and caregivers with knowledge to ensure nutritional adequacy and disease-specific dietary management.
