The Certificate in Introduction to Nutrition has been developed by the Centre for Nutrition and Dietetics Studies at IGMPI to provide foundational knowledge of nutrition science and its practical applications in health and disease prevention. This certification programme covers the essential principles of macronutrients and micronutrients, digestion and metabolism, nutrient deficiencies, balanced diet planning, and nutrition across different life stages. It equips participants with skills to understand nutritional assessments and public health nutrition programs. Through evidence-based learning and case studies, this programme prepares professionals, educators, and health advocates to apply sound nutritional principles in clinical, community, and wellness settings for overall health promotion.
