The importance of antioxidants and phytochemicals is rapidly gaining attention in nutritional science, health promotion, and disease prevention. These plant-derived compounds are known for their protective role against oxidative stress, inflammation, and the development of chronic diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, and neurodegenerative disorders.
This workshop is designed to build a scientific and practical understanding of antioxidants and phytochemicals, their dietary sources, mechanisms of action, and the importance of spreading awareness regarding their benefits. It also aims to equip nutrition professionals, healthcare workers, and students with the tools to promote plant-based health strategies effectively.
To promote a unified understanding of antioxidants and phytochemicals as vital components of a balanced diet and to create awareness on integrating them into daily food habits for improved health outcomes.
Any Diploma holder/ graduation/ B.tech/ B.Sc. in Microbiology/ Life Sciences/ Botany/ Zoology/ Food Science/ Food Technology/ BE/ B.Pharma/ MBBS/ BDS/ BHMS/ BUMS/ BAMS or any other discipline. Diploma holders are eligible for our Executive Diploma, Industry Certificate, and Certificate Programmes.
Dates: 1st and 2nd August, 2025
All the participants will be awarded Certificate of Participation by Centre for Nutrition and Dietetics Studies, IGMPI. The physical copy of the certificate of completion will be dispatched to your address.
