The importance of antioxidants and phytochemicals is rapidly gaining attention in nutritional science, health promotion, and disease prevention. These plant-derived compounds are known for their protective role against oxidative stress, inflammation, and the development of chronic diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, and neurodegenerative disorders.
This Certificate is designed to build a scientific and practical understanding of antioxidants and phytochemicals, their dietary sources, mechanisms of action, and the importance of spreading awareness regarding their benefits. It also aims to equip nutrition professionals, healthcare workers, and students with the tools to promote plant-based health strategies effectively.
To promote a unified understanding of antioxidants and phytochemicals as vital components of a balanced diet and to create awareness on integrating them into daily food habits for improved health outcomes.
Any Diploma holder/ graduation/ B.tech/ B.Sc. in Microbiology/ Life Sciences/ Botany/ Zoology/ Food Science/ Food Technology/ BE/ B.Pharma/ MBBS/ BDS/ BHMS/ BUMS/ BAMS or any other discipline. Diploma holders are eligible for our Executive Diploma, Industry Certificate, and Certificate Programmes.
The certification will be awarded after the required levels of knowledge, skills, professionalism and attitude are assessed through the IGMPI assessment process.
