Speciality & Artisan Food is a rapidly growing sector in the food industry, focusing on premium, handcrafted, and innovative food products. This field prepares professionals to develop, manage, and market artisan food products such as gourmet bakery items, cheese, chocolates, confectionery, fermented products, beverages, and ethnic delicacies.

Our Speciality & Artisan Food programme is designed to equip students and professionals with the skills required to innovate, produce, and manage artisan food ventures. It combines technical knowledge of food production with entrepreneurial and managerial expertise to build careers in the premium food and beverage sector.

Module 10: Packaging, Branding, and Labeling for Artisan Foods

Module 11: Food Safety, Hygiene, and Regulatory Framework for Speciality Foods

Module 12: Supply Chain, Retailing, and Distribution of Artisan Products

Module 13: Entrepreneurship and Business Models in Speciality Foods

Eligibility

Graduates in any discipline are eligible for our Post Graduate Diploma, Executive Diploma and Professional Certification Programmes.

Candidates from Food Science, Nutrition, Culinary Arts, Hospitality, Agriculture, and allied fields will find the programme particularly beneficial.

Programme Duration

The minimum duration to complete the PG diploma programme is 12 months and maximum is 24 months. The minimum duration to complete the executive diploma programme is 6 months and maximum is 12 months.

Programme Mode

Registrations are currently open for regular and Online Live Classes/Part-time both modes.

Examination & Certification

IGMPI follows a credit-based system for all PG Diploma, Executive Diploma, and Certificate Programmes. Each module carries 4 credits.

  • Timely submission of assignments after each module.
  • Final online examination at the end of the programme.
  • Successful participants will be awarded the Post Graduate Diploma/Executive Diploma in Speciality & Artisan Food by the Faculty of Food Safety and Quality, IGMPI.

Detailed programme materials, self-assessment exercises, and project guidelines will be shared by the Institute regularly.
