ANSM Issues GDP Non-Compliance Statement for Pharmatrex, Suspends Wholesale Authorization

The French National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Health Products (ANSM) has published a Statement of Non-Compliance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) for Pharmatrex, a wholesale distributor based in Chambly, France. The statement, dated August 21, 2025, follows an inspection conducted on July 7, 2025.

Inspectors found that Pharmatrex’s responsible pharmacist and deputy had ceased their duties in September and October 2024, with no replacements appointed and no notification sent to ANSM. The agency stated that the company failed to demonstrate corrective action or compliance with regulatory requirements, and significant deficiencies remain.

As a result, Pharmatrex’s wholesale authorization has been suspended.

The full report (2025_NCS_FR_002) is available on the EudraGMDP database under “Non-Compliance Reports” by selecting the inspection month and searching by report number.
