The Industry Professional Certification in Food Processing Unit Operations will provide theoretical and practical knowledge to students to develop their skills in the Food processing industries during introduction of new product in existing plant, also in designing of new food plant, unit operations to be considered for food product services and utilities required .They will gain a deeper understanding of the food processing unit operation aspects and their application methods in food processing industry.
In order to enhance the knowledge in the area of Food Processing Unit operations, FFSQ, IGMPI has designed this programme. This is undertaken through theoretical knowledge and practical skill as both are essential to master the field of Food industry.
The objective of this programme is to give knowledge about food processing methods, their feasibility study and analysis, Unit operations involved on primary and secondary levels, thermal & non thermal processing. On completion of this programme student will be able to explain the crucial function such as food plant operations, mass transfer applications during its growth and development and diversification.

Graduates in any discipline are eligible for our Post Graduate Diploma, Executive Diploma and Professional Certification Programmes.
The duration of the training is 5 days.

Online assessment will be conducted at the end of the programme and after successful completion; the participants will be awarded Professional Certification in Food Processing Unit Operations by Faculty of Food Safety and Quality, IGMPI.
Every student is required to observe a disciplined behaviour during her/his classes, assessments & examinations and to follow instructions from the Professors. Any act of indiscipline may result into discredit & it will be mentioned in her/his academic report.

Faculty of Food Safety and Quality, IGMPI’s online programme is a professional programme targeted to cater the agro-allied industries, food processing and production industry. The information, guidance, and off programme completion certificate will provide the participant with not one but many opportunities like production engineers, food processing manager, production-in charge, unit operation -in charge, quality engineers, maintenance manager, food plant head etc.
