Jewel Osco Recalls Tuna Salad Products Over Listeria Contamination Risk

Jewel Osco stores across Illinois, Indiana, and Iowa are recalling tuna salad products due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The affected tuna salad was supplied by Reser’s Fine Foods, which issued the initial recall after breadcrumbs used in their products were found to be contaminated. Consumers are urged not to eat the recalled items and to return them to stores for a full refund or dispose of them safely. The FDA advises thorough cleaning of any surfaces or containers that may have come into contact with the products, as Listeria can survive in cold conditions and spread easily.

No illnesses or injuries have been reported, but anyone experiencing symptoms—such as fever, nausea, muscle aches, or headaches—should seek medical care. Vulnerable groups, including pregnant women, the elderly, and immunocompromised individuals, are at higher risk for serious complications. For questions, consumers can contact Albertsons Companies’.
