FSIS Issues Public Health Alert for FreshRealm Ready-to-Eat Meals with Riced Cauliflower

The USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has issued a public health alert for select FreshRealm ready-to-eat meals containing riced cauliflower that tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes. No recall was requested, as the products are no longer available for purchase.

Affected products include:

  • Blue Apron: 13.05-oz trays of DISH by Blue Apron Cheesy Chicken Mac with Vegetables, lot codes 25240 and 25247, establishment P-3081.
  • Marley Spoon: 10.5-oz packages of BALANCE by Marley Spoon BBQ Sauce Beef Meatballs with Cheesy Cauliflower, lot code 25255, establishment 47718.

Consumers who may still have these products should not consume them and should discard or return them. There are no confirmed reports of illness linked to these meals.

Listeria infection can develop up to 70 days after exposure, with symptoms including fever, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting, and headache. Pregnant women, young children, the elderly, and immunocompromised individuals are at higher risk of severe illness.
