Foster Farms Expands Corn Dog Recall After Reports of Wood Pieces and Injuries

Foster Poultry Farms has expanded its recall to include Whole Grain Chicken Corn Dogs following multiple consumer complaints about finding wood pieces in the products. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) reported that several consumers sustained injuries.

The affected products, labeled “Whole Grain Chicken Corn Dog Whole Grain Batter Wrapped Chicken Franks on a Stick Lower Fat,” have a use by date of Aug. 7, 2026 and were produced between July 30, 2024, and Aug. 4, 2025. They bear the establishment number “P-6137B” inside the USDA mark of inspection.

This recall adds 118,098 pounds of products to a previous recall of 3.9 million pounds that also included ground turkey items. The products were distributed nationwide to retail, institutional, and Department of Defense locations. Consumers are urged not to eat the recalled items and to discard or return them immediately.
