Raw Bistro Recalls Frozen Beef Dog Food Over Salmonella Risk

Raw Bistro Pet Fare of Cannon Falls, Minnesota, has recalled two frozen beef dog food products due to potential Salmonella contamination. The affected products—Raw Bistro Dog Fare Grass-Fed Beef Entrée, Frozen (3 lb bags, UPC 858833002247) and Bulk (18 lb cases, UPC 858833002629)—belong to Lot 239 with a Best By date of August 27, 2026. They were distributed between September 1 and 17 in California, Colorado, Illinois, and Minnesota.

The contamination was discovered after an FDA sample tested positive for Salmonella, though no illnesses have been reported. Infected pets may show symptoms such as diarrhea, vomiting, fever, or lethargy, and infected humans may experience nausea, diarrhea, fever, or abdominal pain. It poses a risk to humans from handling such products, especially if they have not thoroughly washed their hands after contact with the food or any surfaces exposed to it. Consumers should not feed, sell, or donate the recalled products and should clean all surfaces and utensils exposed to them. Refunds are available at the point of purchase.
