Maison Gabriel Coulet Roquefort Cheese Recalled Over Listeria Contamination in Canada

Maison Gabriel Coulet’s Roquefort – La Cave cheese has been recalled after Canadian authorities found Listeria monocytogenes contamination during routine testing. The affected product, sold in Quebec and Ontario, comes in 100-gram sliced wedges bearing UPC 8 22775 00337 2, Lot 180825, and a Best Before date of November 3, 2025.

So far, no illnesses linked to the cheese have been reported. Consumers are urged not to eat the recalled product. Listeria monocytogenes may not alter a food’s appearance or odor but can cause serious, sometimes fatal infections. Symptoms can include fever, headache, muscle pain, nausea, vomiting, and neck stiffness. High-risk groups such as pregnant women, older adults, young children, and individuals with weakened immunity are especially vulnerable. Anyone who consumed the product should monitor for symptoms, as listeriosis can develop up to 70 days after exposure.
