Programme Overview
The Professional Certification in Functional Food Production offered by the Faculty of Food Safety and Quality, IGMPI provides a comprehensive understanding of the scientific, technological, regulatory, and commercial aspects of functional foods.
The programme focuses on the development, processing, quality control, and regulatory compliance of foods that provide health benefits beyond basic nutrition, including probiotic foods, fortified foods, nutraceuticals, prebiotics, Synbiotic, plant bioactives, and value-added traditional products.
Participants will gain knowledge on ingredient selection, bioactive stability, processing technologies, clinical substantiation, labeling requirements, and market trends. The course integrates global regulatory perspectives along with Indian compliance requirements under FSSAI.

Graduates in any discipline are eligible for our Post Graduate Diploma, Executive Diploma and Professional Certification Programmes.
The duration of the training is 5 days.

Online assessment will be conducted at the end of the programme and after successful completion; the participants will be awarded Professional Certification in Functional Food Production from the Faculty of Food Safety and Quality, IGMPI
Every student is required to observe a disciplined behaviour during her/his classes, assessments & examinations and to follow instructions from the Professors. Any act of indiscipline may result into discredit & it will be mentioned in her/his academic report.

The efforts of our placement cell also include helping with professional resume writing, interview skills & conducting mock interviews etc.
