DV Global Insights: Streaming Ad Spend Soars, But Blind Spots and Fraud Persist

DoubleVerify’s latest report, DV Global Insights: Trends in the Modern Streaming Landscape, highlights the growing significance of connected TV (CTV) advertising, with a 66% year-over-year increase in CTV ad impressions. However, challenges such as app transparency gaps, viewability issues, and bot fraud persist, costing advertisers millions. DV’s survey of 22,000 consumers reveals a preference for ad-supported video, especially for long-form content. The marketer survey shows strong ROI on CTV ads, yet 68% demand better transparency. Despite obstacles, 54% of marketers increased their CTV spend, signalling optimism and the need for improved measurement and fraud protection.
