Walko Foods Acquires Meemee’s Ice Creams, Expands into Artisanal Desserts

Walko Food Company, one of India’s fastest-growing premium dessert brands, has acquired Meemee’s Ice Creams, marking its foray into the artisanal dessert segment. Known for its quirky products like Toasties and Tubsters, Meemee’s has built a strong fan base among urban youth with its bold flavors and creative formats.

This strategic move will help Walko expand its urban reach and strengthen its presence in Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) channels. Leveraging its distribution network across 100+ cities, Walko plans to scale Meemee’s within India’s ₹44,000 crore ($5.33B) ice cream market, projected to grow at 11% CAGR by 2028.

With popular brands like NIC, Grameen Kulfi, and Mimo, Walko continues to innovate across frozen desserts, now adding Meemee’s to its portfolio of handcrafted, premium offerings.
