Wuhan Egg Sheets Recalled in Canada Over Salmonella Risk

Si Ji Mei brand Wuhan Egg Sheets with Glutinous Rice have been recalled in Canada due to the potential presence of Salmonella, according to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). The recall was initiated by the company and affects products distributed in Alberta and British Columbia.

Consumers are advised to check their homes for the recalled product, which can be identified by UPC number 6 977013 950971 and code 2025/09/12. As of the recall notice, no illnesses linked to the product had been reported.

Salmonella contamination does not usually alter the taste, smell, or appearance of food. Infection can cause symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and fever within 12 to 72 hours after consumption. Infants, seniors, pregnant women, and people with weakened immune systems face a higher risk of severe illness.

Anyone who has consumed the recalled product and develops symptoms should seek medical attention and inform their healthcare provider of possible Salmonella exposure.
