Wegmans Recalls Mixed Nuts Over Salmonella Contamination

Wegmans has issued a recall for its mixed nuts sold in 34-ounce family tubs and 11.5-ounce bags due to potential Salmonella contamination. The company has not disclosed how the issue was identified, and no illnesses have been reported so far.

Recalled products include:

  • 34-oz tubs: UPC 0-77890-42131-4, Best by JUL 28 2026, Lot # DC 58041
  • 11.5-oz bags: UPC 0-77890-42135-2, Best by AUG 10 2026, Lot # DC 58171

Salmonella-contaminated food typically appears normal, making infections easy to overlook. Symptoms — including diarrhea, cramps, and fever — usually develop within 12 to 72 hours. Most healthy adults recover in about a week, but severe cases may require hospitalization.

Infants, children, older adults, pregnant women, and individuals with weakened immune systems face higher risk. Anyone who has consumed the recalled nuts and experiences symptoms should seek medical care and mention possible Salmonella exposure, as testing is needed for proper diagnosis.
