Diabetic Nutrition focuses on evidence-based dietary care for individuals with diabetes, with an emphasis on blood glucose control, prevention of complications, and improvement of overall health and quality of life. This specialised certification programme is designed to provide participants with a strong foundation in diabetes nutrition, menu planning, lifestyle modification, and practical case-based decision-making. The Centre for Nutrition and Dietetics Studies at IGMPI has developed this programme to equip professionals with comprehensive knowledge of diabetes-related nutrition care, including the principles of therapeutic diets, carbohydrate management, meal planning, and behaviour change strategies. It also aims to prepare nutrition professionals, healthcare workers, and students to support people with diabetes through effective, person-centred dietary guidance.
The objective of this certificate programme is to develop a clear understanding of the role of nutrition in diabetes management and to create awareness about the integration of healthy eating practices, lifestyle measures, and practical dietary planning for better metabolic control and long-term well-being.

Module 3: Role of diet and lifestyle in Diabetes
Module 4: Nutritional planning for diabetes
Module 5: Behaviour change and lifestyle management
Module 6: Clinical case studies and application
Any Diploma holder/ graduation/ B.tech/ B.Sc. in Nutrition/ Home Science/ Microbiology/ Life Sciences/ Botany/ Zoology/ Food Science/ Food Technology/ BE/ B.Pharma/ MBBS/ BDS/ BHMS/ BUMS/ BAMS or any other discipline.
The duration of the certificate programme is 5 days.
Registration is currently open for Part-time (Online Live Classes) mode.
Online assessment will be conducted at the end of the programme and after successful completion; the participants will be awarded Certificate in Diabetic Nutrition by Centre for Nutrition and Dietetics Studies, IGMPI.
Every student is required to observe a disciplined behaviour during her/his classes, assessments & examinations and to follow instructions from the Professors. Any act of indiscipline may result into discredit & it will be mentioned in her/his academic report.
The Certificate in Diabetic Nutrition offered by the Centre for Nutrition and Dietetics Studies (CNDS), IGMPI, equips participants to strengthen their expertise in diabetes-focused nutrition care and opens up a wide range of professional opportunities.
