U Mumba & Swades Foundation Light Up 160 Rural Homes with Solar Power

In a powerful Season 11 initiative, kabaddi franchise U Mumba partnered with Swades Foundation to bring solar-powered lighting to 160 rural homes in Maharashtra. The program linked on-field performance to real-world impact—electrifying 15 homes for every Super Tackle and 10 for every Super Raid.

U Mumba star Ajit Chouhan, one of the league's top five raiders, visited Badagi village in Nashik’s Peth Taluka to inaugurate the first solar unit. Locals celebrated the arrival of solar power and welcomed their kabaddi hero with enthusiasm.

This marks the second year of collaboration between U Mumba and Swades Foundation. In 2023, their joint New Orchard Programme saw the plantation of 4,300 fruit tree saplings in Raigad.

Through sport, U Mumba continues to drive sustainable rural transformation—proving that franchises can be powerful agents of social change, one match at a time.
