Philips has introduced its next-generation computed tomography (CT) system, Rembra, designed to support radiology departments managing high patient volumes and complex clinical cases. The system aims to address growing healthcare pressures, including rising demand for imaging services and shortages of skilled professionals.
Rembra integrates advanced detector technology with ultra-fast scanning and image reconstruction to support faster diagnosis and more efficient workflows. In emergency situations such as stroke or trauma, the system can reconstruct up to 106 images per second, helping clinicians access diagnostic images rapidly. It is also capable of handling up to 270 examinations daily in busy hospital environments.
The CT system features an 85cm bore to improve patient accessibility and comfort, along with a 60cm standard field of view and an 85cm extended field of view for comprehensive anatomical imaging in a single scan. Philips has also incorporated AI-enabled workflows to automate routine processes and enhance operational efficiency in demanding clinical settings.
